FH5, Series 48, Week 2
I had to make the Nevera go fast along the runway to complete the treasure hunt. No idea how many FPs I now have, and I certainly have nothing to spend them on.
The weekly was a pain because of the Showoff skill. I have no idea what one of these is. If I did know, I’d be unable to consciously do one. I did a plenitude of races before I finally got one in Vista del Mar, although at what point this happened, I have no idea.
I one-shotted the DS for a one-third very good SWS. I one-shotted the ST for an SWS that was beyond excellent, but I don’t actually need another Sesto Elemento. I also one-shotted the SZ for an SWS that was one-third good and one-third very good.
The photo is of the painting on the side of the player house in Playa Azul.
Eventlab (1). Sunset Palms Raceway. Points off for Eventlab Island, another excellent advertisement for incorporating such places into the main map instead of forcing players to load a new map in. Good use of props. Marks on for daylight, and a tick for the layout. The SWS afterwards was two-thirds good.
Eventlab (2). Calvo’s Karting. Oh dear. Night + ghastly layout + track toys. Seriously? If the game had karts in it, this would make sense, but it doesn’t, and this was an annoying, spaghetti-like 1st-2nd-3rd-2nd-1st gear track. Might be all right in D class on bicycles.
Eventlab (3). Cordillera Rally. Parts of this were tolerable, parts needed practice, and parts were thoroughly irritating.
Took me a couple of attempts to complete the HW PR stunt because the car got the right distance the first time, but fell off the track. The second time, the car curved to the right and landed cleanly. A one-third good SWS.
I managed to one-shot the RA PR stunt in the Volvo 242, which I’d probably specced up to do the SZ the last time it was on the playlist roster. The SWS was one-third good and one-third excellent and ironically gave me a 2012 Aventador, which was the car for the HW PR stunt.
For the Trial I chose the 1993 Nissan GT-R because it had a better PWR. I was on the front row for Hilltop Descent and came 2nd. The winner was also in the 1993 GT-R, but clearly had more power. Team win. I was on the second row for Wetland Charge, but initially found myself lagging behind until I managed a 3rd place. There was no way for me to catch the winner or the drivatar right behind him. Another team win.
Another week of three seasonals, but the three Eventlabs were sufficient to complete this week’s playlist. Besides, we’re back to the old pattern of the car for one task being acquired from some other event.
