FH5, Series 50, Week 3

Do a DS in the Caterham, they said, implying that you have to jump 500m. Perhaps I only needed to do a DS in the Caterham. I now have over 120,000 FPs.

No issues with the weekly in the 1987 Pontiac Firebird. In an aside, there seems to be an epidemic of idiot players stopping in the middle of the road to block the AI traffic. That used to be an occasional thing in FH4, but I’ve barely ever seen it in FH5. It’s annoying. Stop doing it, you complete plonkers.

I one-shotted the DZ and DS, and took a couple of goes to complete the TB (lack of practice, but I just don’t… What is it, Jenkins? … We’ll talk about Japan later. …ever do these things unless I’m required to). And how was I rewarded? Rubbish, rubbish, and more bloody rubbish.

I took a photo of the Datsun in the stadium. I won a pair of lacy knickers. Now I’ll be the sexiest boy in Mexico. [You silly, deluded old git. –ed.]

Eventlab (1). Edel Circuit. DUBS’ favourite custom-built circuit. Pity it has to use that horrid road surface because I think this is otherwise another decent, intermediate-length circuit. Another rubbish SWS.

Eventlab (2). Apex Alligator. An interesting circuit that partly incorporated a reverse version of Estadio Circuit.

I one-shotted the HW PR stunt in an incompetent fashion. A one-third very good SWS. About bloody time.

I almost gave up on the RA PR stunt, which was to do a ridiculously tight, twisty SZ in a ridiculously overpowered car because that’s the most fun a boy can have. [Irony? –ed.] I went with the Rimac Concept 2 for reasons that I’ve previously stated, viz. holding the car in 1st gear, and then flooring it and changing to 2nd. Ironically, I stayed in 1st.

For the Trial I decided to use the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint, which I probably used on the previous occasion rather than the Miura, which fast, but on stock tyres. I was in a team of mostly non-prestige players in stock cars. One other player had a B700 car, was prestige 2, but had problems controlling it. I started on the second row in Riviera and came 1st. Team win, but I don’t know whether the prestige 2 player was blocking the drivatars to let the rest of the team past. Ditto Bola Ocho, but came 2nd because Pablo was uncatchable. Team loss. Here, the Forza accountant stepped in. “Net income, £12 8s 6d. Net expense, £12 8s 6d. Profit, …” [Calculator keys click] “£12 8s 6d.” And that was what happened. Won one, lost won, won the series.

Now, Jenkins, now I’ll talk about FH6 in Japan. Apparently, there’s a good chance that FH6 is going to be announced at the Tokyo Game Show in September, which suggests Japan as the locale for the game. Perhaps, possibly, maybe. Who knows. It’ll probably end up being Tuvalu. I’ve been wondering whether these leaks are deliberate, but we’ll see. As I said in my previous entry, FH6 is being released to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the xbox. AR12 Nick seems to have forgotten this because I can’t see MS being concerned about GTA 6 queering their pitch. Anyway, we may finally have an answer next month.
